Yesterday, a number of students from 7 Blue and 8 Sapphire went to Newcastle University for the manufacturing education program. We all got split into our group activities with students from the following schools: Merewether, Kurri Kurri and St Phillips, Some of the activities included making aeroplanes, lighting up a city and making catapults. It was great fun and a chance to meet people with common interests. Plus, we got subway! with a cookie!
But, all in all it was a very educational day and great fun was had. We did well, placed first and came home with a trophy. It was well out of my comfort zone but I can't wait to do it again next year.
